New Enhancements for DROID by Motorola 
effective: 12/7/2009
A software update that includes several enhancements is available for the DROID by Motorola beginning 12/7. The update method primarily will be Over the Air (OTA). Below is the software-upgrade notification schedule (Eastern time)
1. At noon on 12/7, 1000 users will receive notification of the update.
2. At 11:59pm on 12/7 , 9000 more users will receive the update notification.
3. After the first 10,000 users receive the update on 12/7, there will be a 48-hr period when no additional upgrades will be delivered.
4. On Day 3 912/9) 200,000 users will receive the update notification at 11:59pm. This schedule will continue each day thereafter until the update has been delivered to all users.
OTA download requires 40% or more power availablity, so make sure the device is over 50% to fully charged. If the subscriber is roaming, they will not receive an OTA update. Install will take 6-10mins. Only emergency calls will work for the duration of the install. After software is downloaded and updated, DROID will power off and then back on. 드로이드 사용자들이 계속 많아지는 탓에 많은 유저들에게 over-the-air 업데이트가 계속 늦어지고 있는것 같습니다.
우선 먼저 OTA가 아닌 Manual 업데이트 해서 써보고 싶은 분들은
밑에 웹사이트에 들어가서 쓰여져 있는 instruction을 그대로 따라하시면 잘 되세요.

아참. 혹시 나중에 “E:Failed to open /sdcard/update.zip (No such file or directory)”
이런 문구를 보시게 되면 file을 update.zip 이라는 파일명을 그냥 update로 바꿔주세요.
그럼 잘 되실꺼에요~! 아참 이 업뎃은 Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid를 위한 업뎃입니다!

와하핫....^^
저도 지금 막 업뎃.2.0.1 이 잡혔습니다.
10.2MB 이구요...
제가 드로이드를 버라이즌으로 사용하지 않아서.
업뎃이 안되나 보다 하고 조마조마 했었는데.
자기전에 얼마남지 않은 밧데리 다 방전시킬려고 전화기 버튼을 누르는데.
업뎃하기에는 밧데리가 너무 적다면서..
Charger를 꼽고 업뎃하라네요...^^
너무 기뿌네요....~~~~~
